Wi-Fi QR Code Generator
A Wi-Fi QR code lets guests join your network by pointing their phone camera at it, with no password to type. It holds the text WIFI:T:WPA;S:network-name;P:password;; and any \ ; , " or : in the name or password needs a backslash before it, which this generator adds for you. The code is static and never expires.
Static code: no expiry, no tracking, no sign-up.
Exactly what the code contains:

The Wi-Fi QR format
| T: security | WPA (covers WPA, WPA2 and WPA3 personal), WEP, or nopass for an open network |
|---|---|
| S: network name | The SSID exactly as it appears, case-sensitive |
| P: password | Left out for an open network |
| H: hidden | H:true when the network does not broadcast its name |
| Escaping | A backslash goes before \ ; , " and : in the name and password |
| End | Two semicolons ;; close the code |
Worked example
Network Cafe;Guest with password pa:ss,word and WPA2 security. The semicolon in the name and the colon and comma in the password would break the format, so each gets a backslash. The code holds exactly:
WIFI:T:WPA;S:Cafe\;Guest;P:pa\:ss\,word;;
Where to put it
Reception desks, table tents, meeting rooms, guest rooms and holiday rentals. For customers and visitors, use a separate guest network, so the code never gives access to the computers and devices your business runs on. Anyone who can see the code can join, just as anyone who can read a password card can.
Phones that read it
Recent iPhones and Android phones read Wi-Fi codes with the built-in camera app, and many Android phones also have a QR scanner in the Wi-Fi settings. When scanned, the phone shows the network name and offers to join. Test with an iPhone and an Android phone before printing.
For businesses: what happens after the scan
A QR code starts a conversation: a menu order, a WhatsApp chat, a payment, an enquiry form. AiStaffo sets up AI workers that pick up from there, answering chats and enquiries, logging leads, matching payments to orders and sending follow-ups, so your team only handles the exceptions. Book a free automation audit to see which of these your business could hand over.
Please note: this generator follows the published formats as checked on 21 October 2026. How a phone reacts to a scanned code depends on its camera or scanner app, so test every code on more than one phone before printing it in quantity.
