Pay Stub Generator (Canada)
A Canadian pay stub (wage statement) shows the pay period, rate of pay, hours, gross wages, each deduction with its amount and reason (CPP, CPP2, EI, federal and provincial income tax, benefits), and net pay. Provinces set the exact rules; Ontario, for example, requires the rate, period, wages before and after deductions and every deduction.
For employers and payroll staff issuing payslips to their own employees from real payroll records. Do not use it to create a payslip for yourself or to show anyone figures that were not actually paid: that is a false document.
· The link keeps your figures after the # sign, which browsers never send to any server. Share it only with the employee.
What a pay stub must show in Canada
| Who sets the rules | Each province's employment standards law (federally regulated employers: the Canada Labour Code) |
|---|---|
| Ontario example | Pay period, rate of pay, gross wages, the amount and purpose of each deduction, and net pay, on every payday |
| CPP (2026) | Employee 5.95% of earnings between $3,500 and $74,600 a year (maximum $4,230.45); employer pays the same |
| CPP2 (2026) | 4% of earnings between $74,600 and $85,000 |
| EI (2026) | Employee 1.63% up to $68,900 of insurable earnings (Quebec 1.30%); employer 1.4 times the employee premium |
| Quebec | Employees pay QPP and QPIP instead of CPP; rename the lines as needed |
Worked example
Press "Fill example figures" to load this example (a two-week pay period). Earnings: Regular pay $2,400.00, Vacation pay (4%) $96.00, so gross pay is $2,496.00. Deductions: CPP $140.50, EI $40.68, Federal income tax $250.00, Provincial income tax $120.00, $551.18 in all. Net pay is $2,496.00 − $551.18 = $1,944.82, written on the payslip as "One Thousand Nine Hundred Forty-Four Canadian Dollars and Eighty-Two Cents Only". The deduction amounts are examples; work out real ones with your payroll software or the salary calculator for your country.

For employers
Payslips are the last step of a monthly routine: collecting attendance, working out pay and deductions, filing returns, sending slips and answering questions. AI workers now run that routine end to end with a person approving the exceptions. Book a free automation audit and we will show what it would take off your payroll desk.
Please note: the generator formats the figures you enter; it does not check them against tax or labour law. Rules are as checked on 21 October 2026 from the sources below. This is not legal or tax advice.
