Itemised Payslip Generator (Singapore)

Singapore employers must give itemised payslips to every employee covered by the Employment Act, with the salary or within three working days. MOM lists 12 items: employer and employee names, payment date, basic salary, salary period, allowances, other payments, deductions (such as employee CPF), overtime hours, overtime pay and period, and net salary.

For employers and payroll staff issuing payslips to their own employees from real payroll records. Do not use it to create a payslip for yourself or to show anyone figures that were not actually paid: that is a false document.

Worked example

Press "Fill example figures" to load this example. Earnings: Basic salary $2,400.00, Fixed allowance (transport) $200.00, Overtime pay $188.80, so gross pay is $2,788.80. Deductions: Employee CPF $557.00, $557.00 in all. Net pay is $2,788.80 − $557.00 = $2,231.80, written on the payslip as "Two Thousand Two Hundred Thirty-One Singapore Dollars and Eighty Cents Only". The deduction amounts are examples; work out real ones with your payroll software or the salary calculator for your country.

For employers

Payslips are the last step of a monthly routine: collecting attendance, working out pay and deductions, filing returns, sending slips and answering questions. AI workers now run that routine end to end with a person approving the exceptions. Book a free automation audit and we will show what it would take off your payroll desk.

Please note: the generator formats the figures you enter; it does not check them against tax or labour law. Rules are as checked on 21 October 2026 from the sources below. This is not legal or tax advice.

Questions people ask

Are itemised payslips mandatory in Singapore?
Yes, for every employee covered by the Employment Act. Give them with the salary or within three working days of paying it.
What must an itemised payslip contain?
Employer and employee full names, date of payment, basic salary, salary period, allowances, other additional payments, deductions, overtime hours, overtime pay, overtime period if different, and net salary.
Can payslips be handwritten or emailed?
Yes. MOM accepts soft copies and hard copies, including handwritten payslips, as long as every required item is there.
How is employee CPF shown?
As a deduction. The employer's CPF share is not deducted; the generator shows it under "Employer contributions" for information.
Do I have to show overtime if there is none?
No. The three overtime items can be left out when overtime does not apply to the employee.
Can I use this to make a payslip for myself?
No. The generator is for employers and payroll staff issuing payslips to their own employees from real payroll figures. A payslip that misstates pay, or is made to show a bank, landlord or visa office something untrue, is a false document and can be a criminal offence.
