Salary Slip Generator (India)
An Indian salary slip lists earnings (basic, HRA, special allowance), deductions (employee PF, ESI, professional tax and TDS), net pay in rupees and in words, and details such as UAN, PAN, paid days and loss-of-pay days. Under the Code on Wages, 2019 every employer must give a wage slip, on paper or electronically, by payday.
For employers and payroll staff issuing payslips to their own employees from real payroll records. Do not use it to create a payslip for yourself or to show anyone figures that were not actually paid: that is a false document.
· The link keeps your figures after the # sign, which browsers never send to any server. Share it only with the employee.
What a salary slip must show in India
| Law | Code on Wages, 2019 (in force since 21 November 2025): the employer must issue a wage slip to every employee. The central rules give the format (Form V) |
|---|---|
| When and how | No later than the day wages are paid; paper or electronic |
| What Form V shows | Establishment name and address, wage period, employee name, father's / mother's / spouse's name, designation, UAN, bank account, attendance or days worked, basic pay, DA, other allowances, overtime, gross wages, deductions (PF, ESI, others) and net wages |
| Employee PF | 12% of basic + DA; many employers cap it at 12% of ₹25,000 (the EPF wage ceiling since 17 September 2026) |
| ESI | Employee 0.75% and employer 3.25% of gross pay, only where gross pay is ₹21,000 a month or less |
| Professional tax | Set by the state, up to ₹2,500 a year (e.g. ₹200 a month in Karnataka); none in Delhi, Uttar Pradesh or Haryana |
| TDS | Income tax on salary for the year, spread over the months, under the regime the employee chose |
Worked example
Press "Fill example figures" to load this example. Earnings: Basic salary ₹30,000.00, House rent allowance (HRA) ₹12,000.00, Special allowance ₹13,000.00, so gross pay is ₹55,000.00. Deductions: Provident Fund (employee 12%) ₹3,000.00, Professional tax ₹200.00, Income tax (TDS) ₹1,500.00, ₹4,700.00 in all. Net pay is ₹55,000.00 − ₹4,700.00 = ₹50,300.00, written on the payslip as "Rupees Fifty Thousand Three Hundred Only". The deduction amounts are examples; work out real ones with your payroll software or the salary calculator for your country.

For employers
Payslips are the last step of a monthly routine: collecting attendance, working out pay and deductions, filing returns, sending slips and answering questions. AI workers now run that routine end to end with a person approving the exceptions. Book a free automation audit and we will show what it would take off your payroll desk.
Please note: the generator formats the figures you enter; it does not check them against tax or labour law. Rules are as checked on 21 October 2026 from the sources below. This is not legal or tax advice.
